CPU Fan Connector (4-pin CPU_FAN1) (see p. 10 No. 28) FAN_SPEED_CONTROL CPU_FAN_SPEED +12V GND 4 3 2 1 Though this motherboard provides 4-Pin CPU fan (Quiet Fan) support, the 3-Pin CPU fan still can work successfully even without the fan speed control function. If you plan to connect the 3-Pin CPU fan to the CPU fan connector on this motherboard, please connect it to Pin 1-3. Pin 1-3 Connected 3-Pin Fan Installation 20 ATX Power Connector (24-pin ATXPWR1) (see p. 10, No. 27) 13 1 Please connect an ATX power supply to this connector. 24 12 1 Though this motherboard provides 24-pin ATX power connector, it can still work if you adopt a traditional 20-pin ATX power supply. To use the 20-pin ATX power supply, please plug your power supply along with Pin 1 and Pin 13. 20-Pin ATX Power Supply Installation 13 24 12 ATX 12V Power Connector (4-pin ATX12V1) (see p. 10 No. 2) Please note that it is necessary to connect a power supply with ATX 12V plug to this connector. HDMI_SPDIF header, providing SPDIF audio output to HDMI VGA card, allows the system to connect HDMI Digital TV/ projector/LCD devices. Please connect the HDMI_SPDIF connector of HDMI VGA card to this header. Please connect the black end (A) of HDMI_SPDIF cable to the HDMI_SPDIF header on the motherboard. A complete HDMI system requires a HDMI VGA card and a HDMI ready motherboard with a HDMI_SPDIF header. This motherboard is equipped with a HDMI_SPDIF header, which provides SPDIF audio output to HDMI VGA card, allows the system to connect HDMI Digital TV/projector/ LCD devices. To use HDMI function on this motherboard, please carefully follow the below steps. Install the HDMI VGA card to the PCI Express Graphics slot on this motherboard. For the proper installation of HDMI VGA card, please refer to the installation guide on page 15. Connect the black end (A) of HDMI_SPDIF cable to the HDMI_SPDIF header (HDMI_SPDIF1, yellow, see page 10, No. 19) on the motherboard. Make sure to correctly connect the HDMI_SPDIF cable to the motherboard and the HDMI VGA card according to the same pin definition. For the pin definition of HDMI_SPDIF header and HDMI_SPDIF cable connectors, please refer to page 21.
