Ensure that the electrical plug-in connector is positioned where it cannot be reached by the water. Do not use the mains lead or the hose for any purpose for which it was not intended, e. [. . . ] Suspend the device from the handle 1 or stand it on the bottom or supporting surface. Loop the rope 12 around the handle 1 and fasten it with a double knot. Dirt and sand may build up over time on the bottom or supporting surface, which could damage the pump. If the water level in the chamber is too low, any sludge present could quickly dry out and prevent the pump from starting. This mechanism allows any air to escape from the device as soon as the device is submerged in water. If the submersible pump is not completely submerged in water during operation, then water may escape from the air bleed mechanism 2 . Do not screw off the air bleed mechanism 2 , otherwise damage to the device may occur. Note: The float switch 8 is set up to allow the pump to be used immediately. The hose may block if the particle size is greater than 35 mm, or 19 mm with the reducer fitted, (see the section on "Maintenance and cleaning").
