÷ Pressing the SET (¶) key pauses recording after leaving a non-recorded space of about 4 seconds. ÷ If the key is pressed again in less than 4 seconds after it has been pressed, recording resumes from that instant.

Tips in CD recording
When recording CD tracks onto a tape, if you leave the cassette deck in record-pause mode beforehand, the cassette deck recording can be started at the same time as the CD starts to be played (synchronous recording function).
1 Set the CD player in pause mode. 2 Select the track to be recorded with the
MULTI CONTROL (4, ¢) keys. (The CD player pauses at the beginning of the selected track. ) 3 Put the cassette deck in record-pause mode. (Press the SET (¶) key twice in succession. ) 4 Start playing the CD. (Synchronous recording starts. )
÷ Recording stops when the 7 (stop) key is pressed.
Beat cancel function
In some cases, noise may be produced while recording AM (MW/LW) stations. When this occurs, press the TUNER (BAND) key while the unit is in the record pause mode to reduce or eliminate the noise for a better recording.

Special playback options for CD
To add a track to the program:

(Playback starts from the first programmed track (program step number 1)) ÷ Press the MULTI CONTROL keys during program playback to go to the previous or next programmed track. ÷ When the left MULTI CONTROL key is pressed once during playback, the track being played will be played from the beginning.

1 Select the display as shown on the left, and press the SET key. 2 Perform the same operation as in step 3-1 and 2 on the previous page.

To delete a track from the program:

Repeated playback
Desired titles or discs can be played back repeatedly.
Please note that repeat playback of a single track, single disc, or all discs is not possible during programmed playback. If the PGM indicator is lit in the display, perform the procedure on page 38 to cancel the program playback mode.
