Playing Back Motion Pictures
This unit was designed to play motion pictures using the AVCHD, MP4 and MOV formats. A Motion picture recording time
• After playback starts, the elapsed playback time is displayed on

¢ The fast forward/rewind speed increases if you press 1/2 again. If you do not operate the camera for approximately 2 seconds, touch icons and other screen displays will disappear. If you press [MENU/SET] during a pause, you can create a picture from a motion picture. (P223)
• To play back the motion pictures recorded by this unit on a PC, use the “PHOTOfunSTUDIO”

Creating Still Pictures from a Motion Picture
You can create a single still picture from a recorded motion picture. Still pictures will be saved with [Aspect Ratio] set to [16:9] and [Quality] set to [›]. The number
of pixels will differ according to the motion picture you play back. When the motion picture size is set to [C4K] in [Rec Quality]: 4096k2160 (9 M) – When the motion picture size is set to [4K] in [Rec Quality]: [M] (8 M) – When the motion picture size is set to [FHD], [HD] in [Rec Quality]: [S] (2 M) • Still pictures created from a motion picture may be coarser than with normal picture quality. [ ] is displayed during playback of still pictures created from motion pictures. Not available in these cases: • If you create a motion picture when the motion picture size for [MP4] is set to [VGA] in [Rec

Switching the Playback Method
Using the Playback Zoom Rotate the rear dial right. 1k 2k 4k 8k 16k • If the rear dial is rotated to the left after the image is enlarged,
the magnification will be reduced. 0X
• When you change the magnification, the zoom position
indication A appears for about 1 second. You can move the enlarged part by pressing 3/4/2/1 of the
cursor button or dragging the screen. (P49)
• You can also enlarge (2k) the image by double-touching the
part you want to enlarge. [. . . ] When using this unit with a large-diameter lens, the lens may come into contact with the pedestal depending on the tripod/unipod. Tightening the screw with the lens and pedestal in contact with each other may damage this unit or the lens. Therefore it is recommended to attach the tripod adaptor (DMW-TA1: optional) before mounting on the tripod/unipod. Read the operating instructions for the tripod or unipod carefully. [. . . ]
