Protectiveequipmentsuchasdust mask, non-skidsafetyshoes, hardhat, orhearing protectionusedforappropriateconditionswillreduce personal injuries. [. . . ] c) Donotuseaccessorieswhicharenotspecifically designedandrecommendedbythetoolmanufacturer. Just because the accessory can be attached to your powertool, itdoesnotassuresafeoperation. d) Theratedspeedoftheaccessorymustbeatleast equaltothemaximumspeedmarkedonthepower tool. Accessoriesrunningfasterthantheirratedspeed can fly apart. e) Theoutsidediameterandthethicknessofyour accessorymustbewithinthecapacityratingofyour powertool. Incorrectly sized accessories cannot be adequatelyguardedorcontrolled. f) Thearboursizeofwheels, flanges, backingpadsor anyotheraccessorymustproperlyfitthespindleof thepowertool. Accessories with arbour holes that do notmatchthemountinghardwareofthepowertoolwill runoutofbalance, vibrateexcessivelyandmaycause lossofcontrol. g) Donotuseadamagedaccessory. Beforeeachuse inspecttheaccessorysuchasabrasivewheelsfor chipsandcracks, backingpadsforcracks, tearor excesswear, wirebrushesforlooseorcracked wires. Ifthepowertooloraccessoryisdropped, inspectfordamageorinstallanundamaged accessory. Afterinspectingandinstallingan accessory, positionyourselfandbystandersaway fromtheplaneoftherotatingaccessoryandrunthe powertoolatmaximumnoloadspeedforone minute. Damaged accessories will normally break apart during this test time. h) Wearpersonalprotectiveequipment 4. Depending onapplication, usefaceshield, safetygogglesor safetyglasses. Asappropriate, weardustmask, hearingprotectors, glovesandshopaproncapable ofstoppingsmallabrasiveorworkpiecefragments. Contactwitha"live"wirewillalsomake exposedmetalpartsofthepowertool"live"andshock the operator. k) Positionthecordclearofthespinningaccessory. If youlosecontrol, thecordmaybecutorsnaggedandyour hand or arm may be pulled into the spinning accessory. l) Neverlaythepowertooldownuntiltheaccessory hascometoacompletestop. The spinning accessory maygrabthesurfaceandpullthepowertooloutof your control. m) Donotrunthepowertoolwhilecarryingitatyour side. Accidental contact with the spinning accessory couldsnagyourclothing, pullingtheaccessoryinto your body. n) Regularlycleanthepowertool'sairvents. The motor'sfanwilldrawthedustinsidethehousingand excessiveaccumulationofpowderedmetalmaycause electrical hazards. o) Donotoperatethepowertoolnearflammable materials. Sparks could ignite these materials. 2)KICKBACKANDRELATEDWARNINGS · Kickbackisasuddenreactiontoapinchedorsnagged rotatingwheel, backingpad, brushoranyotheraccessory. Pinchingorsnaggingcausesrapidstallingoftherotating accessory which in turn causes the uncontrolled power tooltobeforcedinthedirectionoppositeofthe accessory'srotationatthepointofthebinding. · Forexample, ifanabrasivewheelissnaggedorpinched bytheworkpiece, theedgeofthewheelthatisentering intothepinchpointcandigintothesurfaceofthe material causing the wheel to climb out or kick out. The wheelmayeitherjumptowardorawayfromthe operator, dependingonthedirectionofthewheel's movementatthepointofpinching. Abrasivewheels may also break under these conditions. · Kickbackistheresultofpowertoolmisuseand/or incorrect operating procedures or conditions and can be avoidedbytakingproperprecautionsasgivenbelow. 6 a) Maintainafirmgriponthepowertoolandposition yourbodyandarmtoallowyoutoresistkickback forces. Alwaysuseauxiliaryhandle, ifprovided, for maximumcontroloverkickbackortorquereaction duringstart-up. Theoperatorcancontroltorquereactions orkickbackforces, ifproperprecautionsaretaken. c) Donotpositionyourbodyintheareawherepower toolwillmoveifkickbackoccurs. Kickback will propel the tool in the direction opposite to the wheel's movementatthepointofsnagging. d) Usespecialcarewhenworkingcorners, sharp edgesetc. Avoidbouncingandsnaggingthe accessory. Corners, sharpedgesorbouncinghavea tendency to snag the rotating accessory and cause loss ofcontrolorkickback. [. . . ] ensurethattheclosedsideoftheprotective guardalwayspointstotheoperator - ifnecessary, adjustprotectiveguardFbytightening screwXwhichispre-setatmanufacturing(ensure thattheprotectiveguardisclosed) · Beforeusingthetool - ensure that accessory is correctly mounted and firmly tightened - checkifaccessoryrunsfreelybyturningitbyhand - test-runtoolforatleast30secondsathighest no-loadspeedinasafeposition - stopimmediatelyincaseofconsiderablevibrationor otherdefectsandchecktooltodeterminethecause · On/offlockingswitchH7 - switch on tool 7a !beforetheaccessoryreachestheworkpiece, the toolshouldrunatfullspeed - lock switch 7b - unlockswitch/switchofftool7c !theaccessorycontinuestorotateforashorttime afterthetoolhasbeenswitchedoff · Grinding8 - movethetoolbackandforthwithmoderatepressure !neveruseacuttingdiscforsidegrinding · Cutting9 - do not tilt the tool while cutting - alwaysmovethetoolinsamedirectionasarrowon toolhead, inordertopreventthetoolfrombeing pushedoutofthecutinanuncontrolledmanner - donotapplypressureonthetool;letthespeedof the cutting disc do the work - theworkingspeedofthecuttingdiscdependsonthe material to be cut - do not brake cutting discs with side pressure · Holdingandguidingthetool - alwaysholdthetoolfirmlywithbothhands, soyou willhavefullcontrolofthetoolatalltimes !
